A stroll at Trengwainton

A Walk Up Through Trengwainton
This short video takes you along one of the footpaths up to the terrace at Trengwainton Gardens.
I was laying a scent trail for a dog training client at the time — so I’m walking with purpose and not stopping to admire the view! But that means you get a real-time feel for the walk: gentle, steady, and very typical of what you’ll find here.
The path winds gradually through lush planting — tropical, vibrant, and unmistakably Cornish — with plenty of shade and soft footing underfoot. It’s easy walking, and there are benches dotted along the way if you want to take your time.
At the top, the terrace opens out to one of the most beautiful views in West Cornwall, looking across Mount’s Bay.
Dogs are welcome at Trengwainton as long as they’re on lead, and it’s a lovely place to explore if you want a peaceful, scenic outing not far from St Just.
