When Things Go Wrong (and How We Fix Them)

A couple of weeks ago we noticed an odd stain on the ceiling during a routine check — no guests were in at the time, but someone was due to arrive on Friday. A bit of a head-scratch and then a small rush of panic later, and we had the plumber out within two hours. A small leak in the upstairs toilet, now sorted, with just a little drying out and paintwork left to do.
These sorts of things happen from time to time, but one of the advantages of staying somewhere like Lebanon Cottage is that we’re right next door. There’s no call centre, no forms to fill out, and no long wait for someone to get back to you. If something needs doing, we just get on with it.
We’ve built up a small, reliable network of local tradespeople — people we know and trust — which means we can usually get anything sorted the same day, often within a few hours. Whether it’s plumbing, electrics, or something simpler, we aim to handle it quickly and with as little disruption as possible.
Our guests come here to relax, not to deal with problems — and we do everything we can to keep it that way.
Things go wrong sometimes.
That’s life. But we’re here, and we’ll always do our best to put it right — quickly, quietly, and with as little fuss as possible.
